Bruce J. Nuzum
is a life-long resident of Jasper County, growing up on a
farm outside Baxter, Iowa, and helping to run his father's
feed mill as a boy. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Business
from the University of Iowa and his Juris Doctor from the
University of Iowa law school in 1970.
A former County Attorney, Bruce has been a private
attorney in Newton since 1971. He is a member and past
president and secretary of the Jasper County Bar Association,
a member of the Iowa State Bar Association (Real Estate and
Probate Law sections), a Division Closer for Title Guaranty,
a past member of the Judicial Magistrate Nominating and
Appointing Commission for Jasper County, and a past
member of the Ad Hoc Committee for Telejustice. He has
also been a member and president of the Monroe
Bruce served on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army
for 20 years, receiving an award for his length of service. He
has served as the Board's Secretary, Vice Chair, and Chair
and helped to raise over $800,000 to build a Center of
Hope for the Salvation Army in Newton.
Bruce is accepting new clients. His practice includes, but is
not limited to, the areas of Estates and Estate Planning,
Trusts, Real Estate, Probate, Income Tax, Agricultural Law,
Corporate Law, and General Litigation.
Besides our Newton location, Bruce is available at our
branch office in Monroe every Tuesday from 9 to 4.
